Bioinformatician
The Systems Biology of Host-Microbiome Interactions group is looking to recruit a bioinformatician to participate in the analysis of data generated in the context of various projects in the lab. More specifically, the selected candidate will work within two funded projects in the lab (ERC-2023-StG REGUBIOME and PID2022-139948NA-I00) contributing to the following tasks:
- Participation in the development of computational pipelines and statistical methods for the analyses of metatranscriptomics data in samples with low microbial biomass
- Participation in the development of computational pipelines for the analyses of large-scale bacterial transcriptomics experiments
- Meta-analysis of public datasets of RNA-seq, metagenomics and metatranscriptomics
- Data analysis of different types: bacterial transcriptomics, 16S, metagenomics or metatranscriptomics of different sample types
Beyond these tasks, the selected candidate will participate in the preparation of scientific manuscripts and will be responsible for the data management of different projects.
The bioinformatician will be hosted at the Centro de Investigación Príncipe Felipe (CIPF) in Valencia, Spain, a leading biomedical institute developing competitive and internationally relevant research in the fields of metabolic disorders, cancer and neuronal pathologies.
