Lab Technician

I studied Biotechnology at the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV) and hold a MSc in Advanced Immunology from the University of Barcelona (UB).

It was during my BSc thesis when my passion for the microbiota world began. Later, during my Erasmus+ traineeship in United Kingdom, I conducted research into determining the immunomodulatory properties of Ruminococcus gnavus, a human gut symbiont associated with health and disease. Over the last years, I have worked as a research assistant across Spain, United Kingdom, and Ireland.

Currently, I joined the Lloréns-Rico lab at Centro de Investigación Príncipe Felipe (CIPF) as a research assistant, truly excited to advance research in the fascinating field of gut microbiota. I will mostly work on the MetaHIS project, focusing on metatranscriptomics to determine Brachyspira-host interactions in human intestinal spirochetosis.

Outside the lab, I enjoy photography, playing the guitar and singing, doing sports, spending time in nature, spending time with friends, and traveling.
