As a Master’s student in Bioinformatics at the University of Valencia, I started my academic journey with a Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology at the Catholic University of Valencia. My interest in this field sparked during an internship at CITSAM while I was an undergraduate, where I worked on antiviral research. This experience inspired me to blend biology with technology, leading me to the field of bioinformatics.
Currently, I am part of the research group, working on my Master’s thesis. My project here, is a detailed comparison of different tools for analyzing metatranscriptomic data. Choosing the most suitable tool will be important for our group’s future research. Working on this project will help me improve my computational skills, especially as I use the computing cluster at our center. I find this challenge enriching as it significantly contributes to my growth in the field of bioinformatics.
During my leisure time, I enjoy traveling and exploring diverse cuisines. This hobby is a great way to relax and keeps me motivated in my studies.
