My name is Esther Gallarín Delgado and I am an internship student of Biomedical Sciences degree at the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona. During my studies I have always been interested in knowing the human diseases to which we are exposed and the causes of these.

Within the research area my interests are mainly in the field of biomedicine. That is why in these practices my goal is to understand the functioning of the intestinal microbiota and its interaction with the host, using transcriptomics and bioinformatics to understand how it affects health.

In my free time I like to read mystery books and go for a walk.
