Mi name is Elena Tormo and I am an internship student of Biotechnology degree at the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia. I am collaborating in this project with the aim of developing my knowledge in transcriptional regulation of the gut microbiota and its main applications, doing both laboratory investigations and analysis of bioinformatics data.

I am interested in this investigation program for the reason that it involves a lot of biosciences branches such as bioinformatics, microbiology or molecular biology techniques. The learning of these new and variable methods will encourage me to discover my interests and concerns in this barely explored investigation branch, which seems to bring to light new discoveries that will give us solutions to gut illnesses or further preventions.

In my free time, I like to go to the fitness centre and watch sunsets.
